A worldwide series of one-night-exhibitions curated around the world, BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) is an idea conceived by artist Rafaël Rozendaal, with the first iteration popping-up in Berlin 2010. Teaming up with mobile broadcast studio Experimental Half-Hour and Curate LA’s Shelley Holcomb, WOAH presented the third edition of the series in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Lighting-up with projections, the multidisciplinary creative compound Werkärtz was temporarily transformed into a multidimensional megaplex. BYOB LA III featured over 20 innovative video artists and animators alongside live broadcast and video synthesis for performances from esteemed experimental musicians.
