Realized through the collaboration of three concept-oriented brands— VCR, Futra and WOAH— Double Vision synthesized current talents in design, visual art, and music. A day to night showcase celebrating the continuous change in creative expression, we put a new spin on the typical ‘pop-up’ by uniting an eclectic roster of designers, curators, makers, and seekers in a repurposed brewery.
Located in the heart of the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles, Angel City Brewery’s 27,000 sq ft. lower tier served as a marketplace and art house by day— with over 20 vendors from LA’s sprawl of unique connoisseurs and tastemakers. By night, the space transformed into a boutique nightclub and arts laboratory with video art screenings and a site-specific performance and installation choreographed by Jil Stein. Activating the ground space as a runway, Galerie De L’Absurde—an ‘anti- fashion show’— presented the wearable artistry of collections from local designers.
